Meditation creates a relaxed state of moment to moment awareness which is critical to stress reduction.

Studies show that meditation can change your neurotransmitter levels, including increasing serotonin, beta endorphin, melatonin, and acetylcholine, while decreasing cortisol and norephinephrine levels.

The more you meditate, the more you will benefit.

Daily 10-minute Dance Party – Monday thru Friday 1:15 pm

Dancing is an expressive meditation, the oldest type used by indigenous cultures for thousands of years around the world. In other forms of meditation such as concentrative and mindfulness, one enters directly into stillness and awareness. With expressive meditation, active techniques are used such as chanting, dancing, shaking and rapid breath work to help move ‘stuck’ energy and emotions and come somewhat later to stillness and awareness.

Use these techniques to raise energy, release tension, break up habitual physical, emotional and/or mental holding patterns and increase awareness of mind-body connection.

Practice Mindful Eating Meditation, Tuesdays @ 12:30pm, bring your lunch

Eating gives us another opportunity to slow down and practice self-awareness. By experimenting with eating differently, paying full attention in a non-judgemental, open way, and staying in the present moment as much as possible we can open the door to bringing mindfulness into every activity in our lives.
