Leadership coaching is a partnership between the individual and their coach, identifying developmental goals and learning activities initiated in real-time workplace situations.  Development goals may include improving interpersonal communications, collaboration and problem-solving, team development and performance management, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence.  The results produced through coaching prompt actual behavior change, build new capabilities, and improve leader effectiveness.
